What is Palliative Care?

The goal is to improve quality of life for both the patient and the family. Palliative care is provided by a specially-trained team of doctors, nurses and other specialists who work together with a patient's other doctors to provide an extra layer of support. It is appropriate at any age and at any stage in a serious illness, and it can be provided along with curative treatment

Where Will I Receive Care?

Mountain Home Health Care and Hospice has been providing clinical care in the home since 1975 and our Palliative care Program is no different. We believe deeply in supporting patients in the environment they are most comfortable, especially when facing a serious illness.

Who Will Cover the Cost?

While we can bill certain insurances, Medicare and Medicaid, in part for Palliative services, these do not cover all the cost of a Palliative Care Program. We rely on grants and philanthropic contributions to ensure the longevity of the program. No patient will receive a bill for the services rendered as Mountain Home Health Care believes that Palliative Care is a worthy investment in the life of our community.

If you or a loved one is living with a serious illness call us today to discuss if our home-based Palliative Care Program is right for you.
